🍁 Fall Is Here and Winter’s on the Way!
Since the weather has cooled down, we’ll be switching over from central air-conditioning to heat.
Here’s what to expect:
-
The central air-conditioning system will be turned off on Wednesday, October 22nd.
-
The main heating system will be turned on Thursday, October 23rd.
Once the heating system is on, that just means warm air will be available — heat doesn’t automatically start blowing in your apartment. You’ll need to turn it on when you’re ready for some warmth.
🔧 How to Turn On the Heat in Your Apartment
-
Find your thermostat — it’s on the living room wall above the large return panel.
-
Flip down the bottom cover to see the controls.

-
Set the FAN switch to “AUTO” (not “ON”).
-
Set the SYSTEM switch to “HEAT.”
-
Close the cover.
-
The number on the left shows your current room temperature, and the number on the right is your desired temperature.
-
Use the arrow buttons to choose your perfect comfort level.
Once your apartment temperature drops below your set temperature, the system will automatically turn on and warm things up.
💡 Pro tip: If the FAN switch is set to “ON,” hot air will blow continuously — keeping it on “AUTO” will be more comfortable and energy-efficient.
