William & Mary Fall Break is almost here, and there are a few things to relay to you before you hit the road on your break. 

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Work will be performed in the basement on Thursday, October 8, and Friday, October 9.

During this time:

• Hot water will be unavailable for both days.
• The laundry room will be closed on both days.
• Do not park or leave your vehicle along the back wall or in the two back-right spaces near the basement during Fall Break.

Please plan your laundry and hot water needs accordingly.

The contractor cannot provide an exact completion time, so both days have been reserved to ensure the work can be completed safely and properly.

We intentionally scheduled this project during Fall Break, when fewer residents are expected to be at the property. The contractor understands the importance of the timing and has accommodated us within its busy commercial installation schedule.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Before leaving your apartment on Fall Break (or during any extended absence)…

• Take all trash and recycling to the dumpster
• Turn off all interior lights (including string lights or decorative lights)
• Remove any window fans or screens
• Close and lock all windows
  • Right = Unlocked
  • Left = Locked
  • To lock properly:
    • Turn both locks to the right to fully unlock.
    • Close both the top and bottom window sashes so the locks align.
    • Turn both locks left to secure the window.
• Fully close and lock the front door

First-floor apartments:
A tightly fitted tension rod between the upper and lower window sashes can provide additional security.
