Spring Break is Here! Can You Believe It?!
Before leaving town, please review the following important reminders.
Parking & Power Washing
The doors, siding, windows, porches, steps, and landings will be power washed on Tuesday, March 10.
If you plan to leave your vehicle in the parking lot during Spring Break, please park in the spaces shown in green, away from the buildings, to allow access for power washing and avoid dirt or debris from getting on your vehicle.
Preparing Your Apartment
Before leaving, especially for an extended period of time, please make sure your apartment is clean and secure.
Per the lease, apartments may not be left unattended with windows open or trash left inside during extended absences.
Food & Trash
- Dispose of or store any open food.
- Take all trash, garbage, and recycling to the outdoor bins.
General Cleanup
- Clean any areas that could attract pests.
- Do not leave food out or dirty dishes in the sink.
- Do not leave standing water.
Please take the following additional steps to protect your apartment and conserve energy:
- Take all trash and recycling to the dumpster
- Turn off all interior lights (including string lights or decorative lights)
- Remove any window fans or screens
- Close and lock all windows
- Right = Unlocked
- Left = Locked
- To lock properly:
- Turn both locks to the right to fully unlock.
- Close both the top and bottom window sashes so the locks align.
- Turn both locks left to secure the window.
- Set the heat to 50°F
- Fully close and lock the front door
First-floor apartments:
A tightly fitted tension rod between the upper and lower window sashes can provide additional security.
